Tune In Tuesday : ACL Edition

This weekend commences the 10th Anniversary of the Austin Cit Limits Music Festival so I thought that I would give you guys a sample of what is to come and which shows you'll probably find me at. For those of you who are not attending, they will be streaming the festival via YouTube, I encourage you to check some performances out if you have some time. I'm a sucker for those kinds of things; like Delta Spirit's act during Lolla? It was awesome, I can't wait to see them at ACL. For those of you who are attending, come find me...I'll be trying to keep myself from dehydration and sun sickness. Remember: Bring your water bottle, sun screen, sun goggles, and your musical spirit.

Tune in Tuesday : Early Summer Mix

When I think of summer, I think fresh air, snow cones, and tacos. I'd use adjectives like light, wispy, cool, summery words. For this Tuesday's mix, I won't be making a mix for a particular person. Instead, I'll just making a mix for this season: Summer. It's ferociously hot in Texas so I hope you enjoy these tunes and keep them in your summer mix drawer. As the summer continues on, I'll make another mix.

Tune in Tuesday : 2nd Edition

This week I wanted to dedicate and make a Mix for who I am honored to call my friend, Lindy. I met her when she was traveling the South as an Invisible Children Texas Roadie.
She's a roadie so obviously she's crazy. No, I kid- she's just a good crazy.  She's got a heart of gold though because even when we lives miles away, she still takes the time to talk to me. Having conversations with her only makes me wish that she could be a walk away instead of a flight away.
This mix is just a compilation of what I've been listening to and what makes me think of her.

Tune In Tuesday's : Edition 1

Personally, I listen to music by Artists rather than shuffle, but when my friends ask me to make a Mix, I am happy oblige. I have to say though, it's not a fast process. I try to take their personality and put it on music. I wanted to go about this a different way and make up a fictional character and base their fictional personality to the Mix, but my friend made a different suggestion: to make a Mix as if I were going to make whoever that Mix for a person I know. So I'll go with what I know.

I'm going to make a Mix for one of my friends. Her name is Jacqueline. She takes care of her soft bunny that resides in a cage in her bedroom. If I made her a Mix, I'd go with something with a good beat, something that reminds me of summer, or the beach. Something that she can listen to in the car if she decides to go on an adventure. She likes those.
